What is a Yoga Retreat?

A Yoga Retreat is an organized yoga-focused getaway, usually hosted in a tranquil, natural setting. This yoga-focused vacation will include other wellness or adventure activities as well as yoga classes. You will have the opportunity to practice yoga, meditation, and mindfulness during your retreat, as well as take time for yourself to relax and explore the nature and culture.

Depending on the yoga retreat that you choose, there may also be guided tours, workshops, spa treatments, and other healing modalities available, all curated towards enhancing your yoga practice and the benefits of the Retreat.

How long is a Yoga Retreat?

A yoga retreat usually runs for at least a weekend to one week, or longer. At Amansala, our retreats run for 6 days but with options to shorten or extend if you wish! The most important thing is that you make the most of the time you have away from your busy life, in order to give your body and mind the break it needs.

When you take the time to truly check in with yourself and your body, you allow yourself the space for self reflection, healing and re-alignment. Be prepared for a total mind-body transformation at a Yoga Retreat!

How many people attend the Retreat?

Here at Amansala we have anywhere between 5 - 20 people attend our Retreats at one time. With 20 years experience hosting Retreats, you can be sure that you will receive guidance and support throughout your entire stay.

We have experienced teachers, healers and coaches from around the World come to Amansala to host and teach Retreats because they have confidence in our team and accommodations to support their students on the best and transformative journey possible.

What is included in the cost?

Every Retreat is different, so make sure to research thoroughly all the inclusions. At Amansala, included in the cost in all our Retreats are:

  • Accommodations. We have a variety of room options to suit your needs

  • Enjoy 3 healthy and delicious meals per day at our Beachfront restaurant, plus a nutritious afternoon snack

  • A morning beach walk to energize your day

  • Daily Yoga, Pilates and Movement classes

  • Journaling and meditation to check in with yourself and become more aware of your thoughts during the Retreat

What happens at a Yoga Retreat?

During yoga retreats, you will have the opportunity to deep-dive into yoga in an intimate, safe and unique setting. You will be able to practice yoga multiple times a day, with experienced yoga teachers who understand your needs and help you deepen your yoga practice.

Yoga Retreats also provide the perfect atmosphere for relaxation as you can take some time off. Rest is an important part of any retreat. A typical day our Retreat starts off by waking up in our beautiful beach and jungle surroundings and going on our pristine beach walk. Afterwards, practice gratitude and mindfulness with journaling or meditation and attend your first yoga class. Enjoy a nurturing breakfast on our beachfront deck and connect with other like minded people on your Retreat.

Later in the day, attend another movement or fitness class, explore the sights with a tour or book in for one of your complimentary spa or bodywork services. Wind down that night and enjoy a family style meal at one of our long tables, with views of the ocean, and watch the lanterns on the sand light up.
